Electrocardiogram (ECG / EKG):
EKG is a noninvasive study that measures the electrical currents
generated by the heart while it beats. It is recorded in waveforms and will show
abnormality in rate or rhythm. This procedure can be performed at all ages from
newborn to geriatrics.
Treadmill Stress Test:
This study monitors and evaluates the heart’s response to walking
on a treadmill.
Exercise Thallium Test & Adenosine Thallium
Stress Test:
This involves the use of medications in addition to treadmill.
After the stress test images made will show if there are any areas in the heart
that do not receive adequate blood flow.
