Echocardiography

A noninvasive procedure which assist in the diagnosis of cardiovascular disorder. The study uses high - frequency waves of various intensity and records the echoes from the ultrasonic beams. This shows the size, shape, position, thickness, and movements of the four chambers of the heart. It records blood-flow velocity, and flow direction.

Exercise Echocardiogram

Allows visualization of the function of the heart during exercise.

Tran Esophageal Echo

This study is done from inside the esophagus, allowing the beam to be directed to the back of the heart. This procedure produces excellent images without interference from the chest wall.
