Pioneers Memorial Healthcare District’s Laboratory provides the Imperial Valley high-quality, comprehensive, expert laboratory testing services. Our team of board-certified pathologists, licensed clinical laboratory scientists, and certified phlebotomy technicians are available for medical and technical consultation of laboratory tests, results, surgical pathology, cytology, and clinical conditions. PMHD’s Laboratory services are a covered benefit of a vast number of Insurance Carriers including Medicare and Medi-Cal. Please call our Insurance Coordinator Monday thru Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm to confirm your specific coverage at 760-351-4518.

Hours of Service and Locations

In the hospital locations

  • Main Laboratory: 24 hours each day; 7 days per week for emergency and inpatient services.  Licensed Clinical Lab Scientist and Certified Phlebotomist are on staff 24 hours per day, with medical oversight by our Medical Director.
  • Pathology: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM, excluding holidays.  Qualified and trained histology techs and assistants perform all histological procedures at PMHD, with medical oversight by the Medical Director.
  • Laboratory Draw Station: 07:00 AM-5:00 PM, Monday – Friday, excluding holidays. 207 West Legion Road, Brawley.
  • Pioneers Laboratory Patient Service Center:  7:00 AM – 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM; Monday – Friday, excluding holidays. 197 W. Legion Road, Brawley -760-351-3714
